Lemon is a popular fruit that people use in small amounts and can be used with herbs and spices, but it is rarely consumed alone, due to its intense, sour flavour.

Furthermore, lemon is among the healthiest fruits on our planet, because it offers a great deal of health benefits. They are full with strong antibacterial and antiviral properties.

Until now we had no idea that we could use them for another purpose! Just cutting the yellow/fruit and placing it right next to your bed in a small bowl can provide additional benefits for your health.

This is the most effective way to cleanse your body from harmful toxins. Also it will speed up your body metabolism and this will stimulate weight loss. The reason for this is when you drink lemon water on an empty stomach your liver produces more bile. Then, that leads to you being less hungry and digesting food quicker. Drinking lemon water is also good for your oral hygiene, freshen the breath, whiten the teeth because of the acids a lemon contains. These acids make sure that bacteria as well as any remains of the food you’ve eaten will disappear from your mouth.

A lemon’s aroma contains antiseptic properties, which can influence your state of mind. This means that the aroma of the fruit can help you to experience fewer bouts of depression and anxiety attacks, and creates a positive atmosphere in the room. The only thing you would need for this trick is a couple of lemons. Cut the top off one lemon and place it upright, with the cut bit up. Next, take a sharp knife and cut into the top of the fruit both ways, like in the first picture above on this page. Do not sever the parts completely. Place the cut lemon in a bowl next to your bed and let the aroma do its work. If you want this trick to be even more effective, you can place a bowl with a cut up lemon in every corner of the room.

It Improves Concentration

If feeling more relaxed and less anxious isn’t enough of a reason to try this trick, then we are happy to inform you there is also another benefit you may like to learn. Inhaling the citrus aroma of the yellow fruit will stimulate your mental activity. If you smell this aroma on a daily basis you will become more concentrated and will have a better memory.
